The Mudmen
I was in a dream group in the San Juan Islands for many years, led by a wonderful Jungian psychologist. The study of dreams had a deep impact on my work. So much of my art bubbles up from some subterranean strata, like a dream emerging from the subconscious. The Mudmen came alive with a presence of their own- big feet, armless, marching forward, eager and curious- like dream figures will do.
